Vienna Christmas Market at Rathausplatz

Flew in from Tokyo specifically for this and it exceeded all expectations. The handmade ornaments are beautiful and I couldn't stop photographing the lights on the Rathaus.

I've visited many European markets but Vienna's is in a league of its own. The craftsmanship of the stalls, the quality of the food, and the stunning backdrop of City Hall make it unforgettable.

Spectacular setting and lovely atmosphere. Can get crowded on weekends but weekday evenings are perfect. The spiced wine is delicious and the stalls offer great quality crafts.

Pure Christmas magic. Every corner of Rathausplatz is decorated to perfection. The giant tree in the center is stunning and the lights create an almost dreamlike glow on the cobblestones.

The Vienna Christmas Market is without doubt the finest in the world. The atmosphere under the illuminated Rathaus is simply magical. The mulled wine and roasted chestnuts are a must.
